BAPTISMS at Foundry

Baptism is the sacrament recognizing one's initiation into the body of Christ, the church. We baptize children as well as youth and adults. At Foundry, we usually celebrate baptism on the fourth Sunday of each month. We also celebrate it on Christmas E ve and the Baptism of the Lord Sunday in January. Our Baptism Orientation program is for all who are considering baptism for themselves and/or their children. It helps prepare parents to understand the meaning of baptism as well as the ways in which Foundry ministers to children and parents. The orientation is conducted every other month on a Saturday morning at 9:30. Parents have the option of inviting Godparents to be involved not only in the rite of baptism but more importantly in the ongoing lives of their children. In order to schedule a baptism for yourself or your child, we ask that you complete a Baptism Request Form and email it to Theresa Thames at tthames@foundryumc.org.
