We will work with community partners around the city to serve. Some of us will deliver meals, other plant trees, and still others can help out at the church by painting, helping with planting, or packing health kits. See descriptions below.

Books to Prisons: Help answer letters from inmates and fulfill requests for reading materials.
Age: 12 + with supervision

Christ House: Cooking lunch for unhoused neighbors recovering from illness or injury.
Age: 10+ with supervision

Food & Friends: Delivering food to homebound neighbors. We need 6 cars with drivers; others can ride along as passengers. Need 1 driver and 1 rider (11/3 at 4:45pm)
Age:  18+ with valid license for drivers: no age restriction on passengers

Foundry Job Corps, Garden: Preparing flower beds for winter by weeding and mulching
Age: All ages with supervision

Foundry Job Crops, Paint: Painting classrooms for in our education wing and organizing the clothing mission
Age: 8 +

Casey Trees: Tree planting with the Rock Creek Park Conservancy
Age: 12+

Saturday Morning Cooking Mission: Preparing meals for neighbors living with HIV/AIDS
Age: 12+

UMCOR Health Kits: Little hands making a big difference. Packing health kits to be sent out by The United Methodist Committee on Relief. You can make a monetary donation to purchase supplies by clicking here (indicate "health kits"). Wonderful way for young children to participate.
Age: Great for younger children.
