MLK Sunday Guest Preacher: Rev. Frederick Davie

Picture of Rev Fred DavieWe are honored to have Rev. Frederick Davie to preach out MLK Sunday in 2018. He will be preaching "Woke Faith: To God Be the Glory." His texts will be 1 Samuel 3:1-20 and John 1:43-51.  

Frederick Davie is a Presbyterian minister, currently serving Union Theological Seminary in New York as Executive Vice President. Rev. Davie serves as a member of New York Mayor Bill deBlasio’s clergy advisory council where he is co-convenor of the  public safety committee, with a focus on community safety and improved police-community relations. He is also a mayoral representative to the Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB), which exercises civilian oversight of the city’s Police Department. He is a graduate of Greensboro College and earned his M.Div. from Yale University’s Divinity School which has awarded him its Distinguished Alumnus Award for Community Service.
