Archives and History Committee
The responsibilities of the Archives and History Committee are to acquire, evaluate, organize, maintain, and provide access to the historical records of the FUMC according to professional archival standards; provide guidance on the creation, management, disposition, and retention of records following UMC records management standards; acquire and maintain a small collection of objects related to FUMC history according to professional museum standards; provide access to the archives and objects for research and educational purposes; make historical information available to the Congregation and the public; and provide an annual report on the care of FUMC records and historical materials to the charge conference. The Church Historian is an ex-officio member of the Archives and History Committee.
