Children's Sunday School

Children are a vital part of Foundry Church. By engaging even the youngest of our children and their families, we believe that kids can grow up to Love God, Love Each Other and Change the World. We provide fun opportunities each Sunday morning during the school year to spark curiosity in the hearts and minds of kids in developmentally appropriate ways, challenging them to explore God’s world. We examine themes from creation, justice, friendship, love, joy, and the list goes on. This year, we are using Spark curriculum for Sunday mornings in our classes from age 3 through 5th grade.

How do I join Sunday School?  Each child who participates in Sunday School should be registered. This enables us to better minister to your family, be aware of any special needs, and get in contact with you. Registration is quick, easy and free! You can register by clicking here. Children can also be registered on Sunday mornings. Please allow a few extra minutes for check-in at our kiosks if your child is not yet registered.

On Sunday Morning: All children and youth should be checked in at one of the kiosks. These automated stations are located in the upstairs Sunday School hallway and immediately outside the Community Commons. Volunteers are stationed upstairs to help you, if needed!

Questions? Please contact Whitney Kinsey, Director of Family Ministries, at wkinsey@foundryumc.org

Children are also invited to join in church-wide service opportunities such as Great Day of Service which happens twice per year, the DC Pride Lemonade Stand, and other activities throughout the year. Sign up for the Family Ministries newsletter for updates on upcoming activities.
