Women's Retreat

"Faith Remastered:  Living in Harmony!" 

February 16-18, 2018

 

Greetings!  We will (again) have exclusive use of Priest Field for our 2018 Foundry women's annual retreat. We are excited  to announce that Reverend Michelle Ledder will be our keynote speaker.  Rev. Ledder was a guest preacher this past August and we are privileged to have her join us. ("A Brand New Shibboleth," the sermon she preached at Foundry, is available in transcript form and as a podcast here.) 

Highlights:  Rev.Michelle Ledder is the Director of Program Ministries at the General Commission on Religion and Race (GCORR) where she assists the UMC to live into  honorable forms of racial justice and institutional equity. Rev. Ledder is an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and serves as an Associate Minister at Metropolitan AME Church, the National Cathedral of African Methodism (DC). Michelle is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Emory University.  Her retreat presentation will focus on "Faith Remastered: Living in Harmony!" Rev. Ledder lives in DC with her husband of 18+ years and their 11-year-old Schnoodle, Webster.
