Join us for our first parenting seminar "Creating Space for Gender Diverse Kids to Thrive" with our Keynote Speaker, Rev. Rachel Cornwell.
Rev. Cornwell has been in full-time ministry in the Baltimore-Washington Conference since 2002. She has served congregations in Bethesda and Silver Spring, and she was in extension ministry with the James Company, specializing in helping churches and other nonprofits with fundraising, visioning and strategic planning.
Rev. Cornwell serves on the Greater Washington District Committee on Ordained Ministry, the Adrienne Terry Affordable Housing Taskforce, and the Board of Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland. She is currently writing a book called Daring Adventures: Helping Parents and Gender Diverse Kids Thrive in Body, Mind and Spirit.
This seminar is for parents and grandparents of children of all ages. Parents and grandparents of young children will receive information about how to create space for their young ones to thrive no matter their gender expression or identity as they grow. Parents and grandparents of kids who are aware that they are trans, non-binary, or gender non-conforming will learn more about the importance of education, support, and affirmation.
