We’re glad you’re here! Whether you have been here for 3 minutes or 30 years, Foundry is your home. It is our privilege at Foundry United Methodist Church to provide a safe, Christ centered and loving environment where caregivers can feel confident in Foundry Family Ministry’s desire to do everything within its means to provide for kids, youth, parents, and other generations’ physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs. Take a closer look below at Foundry Family Ministry’s four key ministry areas: Kids (birth-5th grade), Youth (6th-12th grade), Parents (all age groups), and Generations.

Foundry’s Childcare Center is a loving and sacred space open on Sunday (8:30-12:45 pm) for birth to Pre-K. Our childcare is provided by well-qualified, paid, staff and loving servant leaders. Foundry is proud to be a nut-free facility!

Foundry Kids prioritizes developmentally appropriate, hands-on learning opportunities through a lectionary based curriculum on Sunday mornings from 10:10-11:05 am.

Foundry Kids (Pre-K-5th grade) are invited to a special time of worship following the dedicated children’s message during our services. The kids enjoy singing, an interactive and conversational approach to the days lesson (Godly Play), and a hands-on project.

Youth@Night is an opportunity for Foundry youth (6th-12th) to share a meal together, play games, and engage with current topics/broader issues. Youth@Night is from 5-7:30 pm during the school year.

Foundry Youth participate in mission work each summer. Our MS youth have an immersive experience to encounter D.C. in a new way. Our HS youth participate in Appalachia Service Project where they “inspire hope and service through volunteer home repair and replacement in Central Appalachia” (asphome.org).

Foundry Parents offers support through 2 small groups - one for parents of kids aged 0-3 and another for parents of kids Pre-K and up. These groups meet on Sunday mornings from 10:10-11:05 am.

As a learning tool, Foundry Parents offers periodic forums on particular topics/resources/questions. These forums are 3 hours on scheduled Saturday mornings and childcare is provided.

Foundry has curated a collection of resources for our parents in the form of articles, data, stories, etc. This collection is made possible through the work of our Foundry Parents Leadership Team.
