Our mission statement says: "We are called by God to deepen faith through transcendent worship." Worship is a vital part of that mission, and our identity, in the world. As a Reconciling Congregation of the United Methodist Church, we celebrate and work through worship to create a space where people of all ages, races, socio-economic statuses, abilities, sexualities, and identities can know the love of God and bring the fullness of their life and experience. As our Senior Pastor, Rev. Ginger Gaines-Cirelli says every morning, "No matter what you believe or don't believe, no matter what you feel or don't feel, and no matter who you love" all people are welcome to receive and celebrate the love of God. We worship regularly each Sunday in two unique worship experiences:
Our Gospel Worship Celebration offers an uplifting, engaging and inspiring worship experience. Accompanied by our Yamaha concert grand piano and guest musicians our Gospel Choir leads us with a blend of gospel, folk, spirituals and contemporary worship songs. The sanctuary fills with energy through singing, praying and the pastor’s message is biblically-based teaching relevant for today’s culture.
Our Traditional Worship Celebration embraces a blend of classical anthems, traditional hymns, gospel and spirituals, accompanied by our 60-rank Casavant Frères Pipe Organ. The service is often enhanced by orchestral and jazz instrumentation. Rich in tradition, this service features the Chancel Choir and liturgies. The Pastor’s message is biblically based bringing the ancient text to active engagement. The 11:15 AM service is American Sign Language interpreted every Sunday mornning.
In all services you'll find an ADA-accessible worship space, including hearing-loop audio assistive devices, as well as a Children's message and engagement from our Children and Youth Choirs. Between services and after our second service, we encourage you to particpate in our Community Hour through fellowship in our newly renovated Community Hall or some of the many learning opporunties available for Children, Youth, and Adults.
Sacramental and Community Celebrations:
Our worshipping life is enriched through the sacramental celebrations of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month and baptism on most fourth Sundays. If you are interested in learning more about baptism here at Foundry, please click here.
