Baptism of the Lord 2020

How would your life change if you knew—without a doubt—that you were loved? From what would you be set free? To what work or witness would you dedicate your life? As we remember the baptism of Jesus, we also celebrate the abundant grace of God that meets us just as we are with the promise that we are absolutely loved. We gather at the waters of baptism and learn to lively freely as those whom God calls “beloved child,” reclaiming the power that promise gives us to resist evil, injustice, and oppression in all the ways we confront them. We’re invited to remember what it is like to live without apology as the beloved children God has already said we are, and to live out with power and joy the life of one who is loved.
